Coffee guide · Lukaya Cafe

Your first espresso drink starts with three simple choices.

Choose how strong you want the coffee to taste, how much milk you enjoy and whether you want foam, water or chocolate.

A simple decision path

For milk-forward, try a latte. For foam, choose cappuccino. For black coffee, try an Americano. For chocolate, choose mocha. For the full espresso flavour, order a shot.

Choose from what you already enjoy

  1. Usually drink black coffee? Try an Americano for a full cup, or espresso for a short, concentrated serving.
  2. Usually add plenty of milk? Begin with a latte. Choose cappuccino if you like a fuller foam layer.
  3. Want chocolate? Consider a mocha. If you want less caffeine, ask about shot count and available decaf options before choosing.

What does it taste like?

Milk softens, water lengthens, foam lightens and chocolate sweetens. None of those choices makes one drink more sophisticated than another.

What about caffeine?

Ask about the number of shots if you are managing caffeine. Drink size alone does not tell you enough.

Who might enjoy it?

  • Latte if you want gentle and creamy.
  • Americano if you already like black coffee.
  • Cappuccino if the texture of foam appeals to you.
