Inside Lukaya Cafe

Tea shelves, a bake case and a piano.

Rare and loose-leaf teas, drip coffee, espresso drinks and fresh baking share the counter at 592 Upper Wellington Street.

Pick a cup. Find a seat.

Ask about the rare tea shelves or order drip coffee or an espresso drink. Check the bake case for scones, cookies and other treats.

Around the room

Books, plants, mismatched cups and a piano fill the compact room. Take a table to read, work on Wi-Fi or meet a friend.

Tuesday evenings

Lukaya Cafe reopens at 6:30 PM on Tuesdays. Brennagh Burns hosts open mic from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM for musicians, poets and anyone who wants to listen.

The tree outside

Erin McFadden's tree-and-guitar mural is painted on the café wall facing the adjacent Green P lot. Look for it when you arrive from Upper Wellington Street.
